Covid-19 reopening plan The following is an overview of our current plan for re-opening. We have worked within CDC guidelines to develop our COVID-19 approach and will continue to adapt and evolve the plan as we continue to gain the latest information. The following strategies to mitigate risk will be in place upon re-opening:

  • Parents and visitors will not come beyond the front gates. Younger children will be walked to the entrance gate by a parent or caregiver to the TAYB staff. Students will sanitize their hands at the dispenser as they enter the gate.
  • Each class will have its own entrance and exit into and out of the classroom. There will be no congregating in the lobby.
  •  All registrations and payments will be online.
  • There will be sanitizing mats for the shoes before entering any room.
  • All children must wear a mask before entering and during class. Adults coming up to the gates must wear a mask.
  • Students must come to class in their dance clothes and street shoes. Leave all bags except dance shoes and water in the car. Please make sure your child has used the restroom before arriving.
  • Class sizes will be limited to allow for social distancing. We are going to address each class as to size. Students in a few of the larger classes may have to take turns coming in-person to allow for distancing. Students will not be allowed to take multiple classes for now. We ask that they remain at one level. If a student is working on 2 levels, they may take one of those levels virtually.
  • Hand sanitizer dispensers have been installed in classrooms, hallways, and common areas
  • Disinfecting wipes will be available in all classrooms. Any surface that has been touched will be wiped with a disinfectant wipe between each class.
  • Teachers and staff will be wearing masks and Shields.
  •  Faculty and staff will be screened daily for symptoms and temperature checks.
  • All rooms will be cleaned thoroughly each night. Staff will disinfect and sanitize door handles, railings, light switches, and other high-touch areas using EPA-approved cleaning supplies as well as electrostatic sprayers.
  • Bathrooms will be cleaned and sanitized regularly.
  • Students, faculty, and staff will be expected to have their own water bottles.
  • Signage has been placed inside and outside of the building as reminders for social distancing and safe hygienic practices.
  • Please do not send your child to class if they are not feeling well. Students must not enter the school grounds if they test positive by the current NASAL swab, display any signs or symptoms of COVID-19, or have had close contact with someone who has displayed any signs or symptoms of COVID-19 or who has been diagnosed as positive for COVID-19.
  • If a student or staff in the class tests positive, that room will be closed to allow for electrostatic cleaning and disinfecting. Parents will be notified of any positive cases in their child’s class. Contact tracing will take place.
  • Students will remain in a multiple levels.
  • Classes will end class 5 minutes early to allow for the exchange of classes and surface cleaning in between classes.
  • Parents will pick up their children at the gate marked exit.
  • Students will sanitize their hands on the way out as well.
  • If your child is not going to attend a scheduled in-person class, please call the office to let us know as soon as possible. Since we are limiting the number of students in each class, the next student on the waitlist will be called to take a class that day.
