Flamenco is a song, music, and dance style strongly influenced by the Gitanos but with deeper roots in Moorish musical traditions. It originated in Andalusia (Spain).
Pre-K 4 and Kindergarten –Tuesday 4 PM: This class focuses on mastering the basic arms, rhythms, and footwork techniques through exercises and short choreographies. Mantones and Fans will be provided.
1st and 2nd Grades – Tuesday 5 PM: This class focuses on mastering the basic arms, rhythms, and footwork techniques through exercises and short choreographies. Mantones and Fans will be provided.
3rd, 4th, and 5th Grades – Wednesday 5 PM: This class focuses on mastering the basic arms, rhythms, and footwork techniques through exercises and short choreographies. Mantones and Fans will be provided.
If your child is in the 5th grade and has previous Flamenco training, please contact us.
Middle School/High School (without training) – Monday 4:30-5:30 PM: This class focuses on mastering the basic arms, rhythms, and footwork techniques through exercises and short choreographies. Mantones and Fans will be provided.
Middle School/High School (with training) – Monday 5:30-7 PM: Classes will build in complexity. Technique will continue to be a focus. Mantones and Fans will be provided.
High School (without training) – Wednesday 4:00-5:00 PM
Dance clothing and shoes
Leotard: Any style black or the leotard of your ballet level
Flamenco skirt: Can be purchased at dance stores or borrowed from ADT
Flamenco Shoes: Without nails or character shoes
Hair: In a bun
Boys: Fitted shirt and black pants
